Ravens coach Harbaugh comments on possible New York Giants reunion with free agent Odell Beckham Jr.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh did not rule out the possibility of the New York Giants signing free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. when questioned at the NFL annual league meeting on March 24, 2025.

"The obvious pat answer would be you look at every option, and if Odell is an option, we'll be looking at him for sure," Harbaugh told reporters.[1] He added that he maintains regular contact with Beckham, describing him as "one of my very favorite people in the world" and noting they text and speak.[1]

Harbaugh coached Beckham during the 2023 season with the Ravens, where the receiver appeared in 12 games, recording 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.[2][3]

Beckham, selected 12th overall by the Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft, spent his first five seasons (2014-2018) with the team. In 56 games, he totaled 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns, earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2014 along with three Pro Bowl selections.[2][3]

The Giants signed Beckham to a five-year, $95 million contract extension in August 2018 before trading him to the Cleveland Browns on March 13, 2019.[2][4]

After stints with the Browns (2019-2021), Los Angeles Rams (2021-2022) -- where he caught a touchdown pass in Super Bowl LVI -- and Ravens, Beckham joined the Miami Dolphins late in the 2024 season. He appeared in six games for Miami, catching six passes for 44 yards.[2][3]

Beckham became an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 season. NFL free agency negotiations can begin March 11, 2025, with contracts official from March 12.[5]
